Welcome

After 5 years of experience in photographing just about everything, my heart couldn't deny my true passion. I now specialize in maternity, fresh 48, in-home lifestyle (newborn), and family photography. As a Wife and Mother myself, I understand just how special, intimate, and fleeting these moments can be. I would be honored to help you capture these precious moments in your life! My style of photography results in a collection of images that speak to your families unique beauty and connection.

A back story of my shooting style...

When I had my oldest son, I just knew I had to capture EVERYTHING that happened in this tiny humans life. I learned everything I possibly could about my camera and how to use it. I had a whole new love for my camera. I remember sitting Koleson down and jumping around and making funny faces trying to get him to look at me and smile. I also remember uploading the photos to my computer and not being totally satisfied with what I was seeing. I've always been drawn to the small details of my son. His tiny toes and little nose. The way his hand looked so small wrapped around my husbands hand. How dirty his feet were after a day of playing outside. Those are the photos I was always much happier seeing of my son, not the ones I had to work so hard to get. Those photos that just naturally happen, those smiles that just happen from being naturally happen because they are in their element being happy.
Then my youngest came along and that's when I totally shifted gears in my work. I remember watching Koleson look at Corbin laying in the bassinet in the hospital and I wanted to remember that moment forever. I wanted to be able to look back on that photo and FEEL the new love Koleson had for his new baby brother. Over the next couple of days in the hospital I documented the love my family had for this new baby and each other with ease. There was no posing, no direction given, no jumping around and acting silly to get smiles, no "everyone look and say cheese". I captured the most beautiful and genuine photos. That's when it clicked, I didn't want to be that photographer that captured smiles, I wanted to capture FEELINGS! I want to be a storyteller, not just a photographer. I want you to look back and remember what it FELT like in that moment.

"Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." - Elliot Erwitt
